A Drinking Club with a Running Problem

Well at least that's how we're often described. We're a social group who meet up once a week in the Napier/Hastings area and go for a bit of exercise, running jogging or walking, and have a few drinks before, during and/or after.

Hash House Harriers groups exist in most countries of the world. It's a great way to make friends and travel as well as get a bit of exercise to make you feel less guilty about those drinks.

Hashing in Hawke's Bay

We have a run/walk every Monday night at 6.15 and sometimes on the night of the full moon at 6.30. We are very sociable and will usually have a beer or two in a bar afterwards, as well as stopping for a drink part way round. We follow a trail which has been set by a 'hare' for the 'hounds' to follow. Trails are designed to cater for all abilities, so it doesn't matter whether you're a fast runner or a slow walker, we all start and finish at roughly the same time, and generally are out for about an hour to 90 minutes including refreshment stops. Runs are advertised here and on our facebook page. Why not come along and give it a try? Bring a sense of humour and a thirst!
